The 3rd Awakening: A Short Story
Please listen to this living masterpiece as you read the story. It will enhance your experience a thousand times. Listen and read with your Heart. ~ Love and Blessings
It’s 4:44am, pitch black and the winter frost on my window invites me to stay under the covers a moment longer. This is the third day that I have been awakened from sleep by the harmonic sounds of divine mantras playing in my heart.
I have become something of a cosmic drum as I feel the muscles around my ribcage expanding and contracting to the beat of the Universal Drummer, the one heartbeat.
The inspiration of the universe fills me like warm oil melting into the crevices of my inner being.
It feels as though my blood is on fire and every cell is about to boil over. My hands are shinning like something out of an anime film and it feels like hot daggers are piercing the centers of my palms, blasting rays of light into this dark little room.
My feet feel as though they have been hammered into wooden pillars with scolding golden stakes.
Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.
For the first time I can feel the heartbeat pulsing in my feet, spiraling and vibrating like the center of the galactic sun.
As the heat at the center of my palms and feet increase my spine begins to undulate like the tail of a dragon, slow at first getting stronger with each breath. An intense heat begins to work it’s way from my sacrum up to the crown of my head, filling my entire core with liquid light. It is both invigorating and uncomfortable as the movements within my body become uncontrollable.
My back begins to arch as my chest is drawn upward toward the heavens like a string of light is pulling me into the sky.
The way is not in the sky. The way is in the heart. ~Buddha
It feels as though my heart is being cracked open and the only way I can describe the feeling of ecstasy flowing through my body is like that of an orgasm, only it’s coming from my heart not my genitals.
I am wondering if this is real.
“Am I dreaming?” I ask.
I hear a ringing in my ears and these words appear across my minds eye,
“You have awakened from the dream.”
As I rub the dreamlessness out of my eyes I can faintly see the vibrant green glow of the dragons pearl on my chest. It glows so bright it appears that it has it’s own aura, it’s own orbit. I see trails of light pulsing from this magical stone as if leaving me a lighted path to follow, and I can’t help but wonder if this stone is alive.
For the first time I am aware of the movement of my blood in my body. If I pause and listen I can tune into the the resonance of my DNA, and it feels as though the double helix is expanding, spiraling and wrapping around each other like rainbow-hued gossamer strings of light.
“I must be dreaming” I think to myself. It feels as though I am in between worlds. For my room is filled with purple and golden hues that I use to read about in fairy tales.
Despite my rational mind and egoic questioning, I can not deny the intensity of this experience and I know without a doubt, that I am no longer dreaming.
I feel the Presence of God pouring light into this vessel who is nameless and I realize that I am simultaneously both the observer of the experience and the experience it self.
I AM THAT, I AM.
I now understand that the Divine can never be described in words, thoughts, pictures, or eloquent maps. It can only be felt!
Great poets, mystics, artists and sculptures can point to it. They can give us signs and clues alluding to the Divine. But that is not the Divine.
The Divine is alive in us right now! It is feeling the intensity and magic of the moment. The Divine is an Experience. It is an experience of the totality of your being!
